Krista & Brandon... Young Love

Luckily Krista and Brandon seem like such a sweet couple, because when they asked me to do an engagement session on the last day of October... at the BEACH...I almost ran for cover! :)

It was f-f-f-freeeeeezing out on this day (just look at the waves!), but these two were champs. Don't they look adorable?

Project 365, Day 312 (11/11/09) Quarantined.

So far this week, two out of three kids have been sick. As I write this on 11/12, Liz is home with Marc.

Fun stuff! Can't wait til I get it... even though Moms aren't allowed to get sick!

"If you have health, you probably will be happy, and if you have health and happiness, you have all the wealth you need, even if it is not all you want." ~Elbert Hubbard

Project 365, Day 311 (11/10/09) 'Tis the season!

FLU season, that is! I hope you've all stocked up on this stuff!

"The greatest wealth is health." ~Virgil

Project 365, Day 310 (11/9/09) Busted!

"LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZYYYYYYYYYYYY!" ~ Logan and Jackson, 10 seconds after this photo was taken.

Project 365, Day 309 (11/8/09) Good to be home.

*Sigh*... it's good to be home.

Though something seems to have changed since we left, and I can't quite put my finger on it....

"No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow." ~Lin Yutang

Project 365, Day 308 (11/7/09) On the road again...

Took a drive to the beautiful little town of Saugatuck today for a great day of shopping!

Marc and I are literally doing the 'shop til you drop' thing here, so this is all I had the energy for. (sorry!)

"We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment." ~Hilaire Belloc

Project 365, Day 307 (11/6/09) The B.O.B.

Today Marc and I spent the day Christmas shopping in Grand Rapids, then relaxed in the evening with a comedy show at the B.O.B.

As it turns out, the very funny Rob Little, who performed that night, is from my hometown of Pinconning! Check him out by clicking on his name above.

"In elementary school, kids would always pull food away from me at lunchtime, saying mean, hurtful things like.... 'Let go of my sandwich!'" ~ Rob Little

Project 365, Day 306 (11/5/09) Teaching her early

(Chimping.) :)

"I don't think there's any such thing as teaching people photography, other than influencing them a little. People have to be their own learners. They have to have a certain talent." ~ Imogen Cunningham

Project 365, Day 305 (11/4/09) Self Portrait.

I was busy typing away at the computer, with Liz coloring next to me,

when she suddenly exclaimed, "Look! It's Lizzy!"

I looked at her creation, expecting to see her usual random markings, but instead I was delighted to see THIS...

her first self portrait!

And I don't care that her arms are coming out of her head... it's beautiful and I'm putting it on my wall forever. :)

"A work of art is the unique result of a unique temperament." ~ Oscar Wilde

Project 365, Day 304 (11/3/09) Promise

Eight years ago today, I made a promise to my best friend... that I would stand by him for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, til death do us part. And I intend to keep that promise.

Happy Anniversary, Marc. What we have together is something not many couples do, and I love you.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
1 Corinthians 13:4

Project 365, Day 303 (11/2/09) Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner

Logan and Jacks participated in the 10/30 "Halloween Spook-tacular" Buddy Bash at Freedom Martial Arts. Logan did a form in his costume and won this SWEET trophy! How cool is this? I mean, not many people can say they have a pumpkin trophy.

"Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is everything." ~ Vince Lombardi

Project 365, Day 302 (11/1/09) Just a beautiful little girl...

...in natural light. I loved this color on her!

"A little girl can be sweeter (and badder) oftener than anyone else in the world. she can jitter around, and stomp, and make funny noises that frazzle your nerves yet just when you open your mouth she stands there demure with that special look in her eyes. A girl is Innocence playing in the mud, Beauty standing on its head, and Motherhood dragging a doll by the foot." -- Alan Beck

Snakes?!? WHY did it have to be SNAKES?

A little Indiana Jones action...

and a sweet little round-faced kitty cat!

Project 365, Day 301 (10/31/09) A purrrrrrfect Halloween

Indeed. One that brought many smiles to one little kitty you might recognize.

"Nothing on Earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night." ~Steve Almond

Project 365, Day 300 (10/30/09) More Halloween fun

Had a great time at Logan's classroom Halloween party today, playing candy corn toss,

"Pass the Pumpkin,"

and other fun stuff. The kids were cute and creepy all at once. Good times! :)
