Project 365, Day 149 (5/29/09) She's a Vivor.

I couldn't resist picking up a copy of this sweet book written by local mom Leona Booms Ashley, with photography done by the talented Sue Brown. The book is about Leona's daughter, Abigail, who was born with cancer in her arm and as a result, had to have her arm amputated.

I can't imagine how this must've felt for Abigail and her family, but their courageousness is inspiring and their spirit very admirable.

I've personally seen Ms. Abigail roaming the halls at the boys' school, and I can attest to the fact that she seems to always have a smile on her face. What a beautiful and strong little girl!

Go out and get your copy today! You can get it on Amazon or stop by The Book Mark in downtown Ludington like I did.

"Beautiful story, about a beautiful girl, who can teach us all something." ~ Tom Ezdebski, Co-Chairman, Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign
