Project 365, Day 101 (4/11/09) Grand Rapids

Today we headed to Grand Rapids for some fun. We started the day off at the Children's Museum. If you haven't been to this place... GO. It is SOOO cool! Even Marc and I had a fun time playing. Our favorite exhibit was the bubbles exhibit.

The best part was standing right in the middle of a giant bubble. I mean... how many times in life do you get to do something that cool?

We could hardly drag a wet, soapy Elizabeth out of there.

We also enjoyed the "Blue Man Group" exhibit,

the grocery store,

and the "dentist's office".

We played with a rainbow of plastic balls,

made mosiacs,

built stuff out of millions of legos,

and experimented with magnets.

Jackson told me, "Mom, you can dance, if you want. 'Cause look," then he pointed to this:

but I didn't break out my bell bottems and bust a move, surprisingly.

We drove around for a bit, checking out the area,

letting Liz take a short snooze in the back, then we headed over to Meijer Gardens to see their "Butterflies of the World" exhibit, which was exquisite!

before heading back to the hotel for a brief rest before dinner and swimming. Everyone was pretty wound up and, although we'd had a busy day, stayed up a little too late. Liz thought she was hot stuff, being able to sleep on the lower bunk with Logan, since we had rented a family suite.
